You will be notified via our weekly Parent Letters if there is anything additional you might need to pack, or if they do not need certain items. Parent Letters can be picked up the 1st day they attend each week, or downloaded here.

- Anything of great value (sentimental or otherwise); handheld video games, computers, phones, jewelry, trading cards, or anything they're afraid to lose or break.
- Clothing with inappropriate logos, slogans, words, etc.
- Swim aides, we'll provide approved swim aides if needed.

Nope! We ask you to register your child by the Friday before the week they wish to attend at the latest. This gives us an opportunity to do rosters and know how many counselors we might need over the weekend for the following week.
The Registration Fee is due prior to registering for Camp. This fee goes towards Day Camp shirts, arts & crafts supplies, sports supplies and all materials needed for Day Camp to run effectively by giving each camper a wide variety of options each day.
You can register in person at the Front Desk (at either the Davis Family YMCA in Boardman, or at the Youngstown Central YMCA in Youngstown) or on-line. Please remember, pick-up and drop-offs will ONLY be at the Davis Family YMCA in Boardman unless otherwise noted in your weekly Parent Letter.
Each camper must have their emergency medical packets filled out and turned in BEFORE they attend Camp. They may be turned in the morning of their 1st day at Camp at the latest.
All of our Day Camp Counselors are trained and certified in CPR, 1st Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens and Child Abuse Prevention. They also go through a 10 hour training prior to camp involving lectures and practical situations in which they may be confronted during Camp. All of the counselors have an interest in working with children, and many of them will be returning with experience from previous years.
When we add a trip fee to a field trip we take into consideration bus rentals, bus driver fees and counselor / staffing when there's a late return planned. The $30 trip fee is the mean of the expenditures after averaging the above costs from previous years.
No! You can register by day. With this daily rate you can register one day at a time, but you must register your child for at least 2 days in order for them to attend the field trip.
Yes! We love when parents come on trips and gets involved with camp days! We ask all chaperones and guests to scan their license through the Sexual Offenders Registry database (at the Front Desk) before ANYONE is able to attend camp with the kids. Afterwards parents / guardians will be with their child along with their child's group assisting the counselors whenever possible. For trips involving a trip fee, parents are more than welcome to attend the trip but will have to pay their own way into the facility we're attending.
