Way to go Neptunes!  You did an excellent job making your events, paying attention and, of course, swimming!  We had some exciting swims; some learning situations, a few DQs that we’ll address, but overall your coaches were very pleased.  One area we need to work on is making sure you know all your teammates so when it comes to finding relay members, you know exactly who to look for.  Plan on being quizzed all this week about the names of the swimmers in your lane.  Maybe we can have a contest to see who can name everyone on our team by the next meet.  I know I can!

Swim suit update – We are told that the remaining team suits will be so we can hand them out Thursday so you can wear them for your pictures.  Keep your fingers crossed!

Speaking of pictures - Pictures will take place Thursday, October 26. There will be no 8 & Under practice this evening. The photographer will be setting up at 4:30; with individual picture-taking beginning at 5:00 p.m. The group shot will take place at 6:30 p.m.  We will be serving pizza and snacks at 7:00 p.m. (in the room upstairs where we held our Christmas party last year). Do not consider this your meal for the evening!  It is meant as just a snack. Anyone who would like to donate a snack-like item, please call Melanie Emerson (330-427-2946 and tell her what you plan to bring so we have an idea of what we need to set-up).  Bring a dollar to buy your own drink at the Y as drinks will not be provided by the team. After pictures and pizza, swimmers may participate in open swim in the shallow pool or head home.  I will also still conduct practice from 7:00 to 9:00 as some of the older kids requested the opportunity to practice that night.
