Whew!  That was a tough meet on Saturday, but when the dust settled, of the 70-some Neptunes swimmers that attended, we came away with 61 personal best times!  No, we did not win the meet, but hopefully you gained further knowledge of what you need to work on as we head towards Divisionals!

A Divisional Meet Meeting will take place this Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Youth Lobby at the Y.  Be sure to check the Neptune Info Board as I have posted who still owes the $10 Divisional Concession Stand Fee.  All of these fees need to be turned in by Thursday’s meeting.  Also, all families must have signed up to work a job at Divisionals.  Anyone who has not yet signed up will be receiving a phone call this week to tell them what job they will be doing.  Another also – we need to generate more ads for our Divisional Meet Program.  Information on placing an ad is in your mailbox.  If you know of a company that might place an ad, please ask them.  The ads from the program are another way for us to generate income from Divisionals.  Also, consider taking out an ad to cheer on your swimmer or the Neptunes in general.  Let’s fill that program up with positive messages as our kids compete in their season’s Championship meet!  Contact Tracy McCarty at mccartyts@hotmail.com  if you need more information or have a question about placing an ad.

Divisional Events – I have decided what events you will be swimming at Divisionals. I might be able to post it Monday night, but it will definitely be up by Tuesday.  If you have any questions about what I have done, let me know before Thursday as this is the date that I am submitting the file to Mr. Allen so he can officially enter our team.  Remember – if you are 8 & Under, 13 -14 or 15-18, you swim in the morning session at Divisionals.  If you are 9-10 or 11-12, your events take place in the afternoon.  Go to www.neoyswim.org and click on the Division 1 information’s meet packet link to find out about warm-up times and when each session begins. This information is also posted on the Neptune Info Board.

The Neptunes Banquet – will be held Sunday, March 11 at the Georgetown. Information on the banquet will be put into your mailboxes this week. Remember that we have a Chinese Auction at our banquet.  There are great sales going on right now, so maybe plan ahead and pick up a bargain to raffle off at the banquet.  The Chinese auction is one of our main fund-raisers for the year, and it is lots of fun.  So start looking for that special item that will make the swimmers stuff that bag full of tickets!
