Y-Neptunes Dual Meet Season
2007-2008
Dates of our dual meets
are as follows. We have two dual meets a month. All Neptune
swimmers participate in these meets. All meets take place on
Saturdays unless otherwise noted. Our home meets start at 1:15
p.m.; our warm-ups are at noon. Warm-up and start times for away
meets are determined by the host team. As soon as these are
known, I will post them here. Also included in this list are
days when we will not have practice due to holidays.
Please see the
listing for Divisionals the first weekend in February.
Divisionals is our Championship meet. To qualify for this
meet you must have swum in three Y dual meets (those listed
below). Qualifying for Divisionals is not based on time so
everyone who meets the above three-meet requirement gets to
attend. I want everyone at Divisionals! This is the one and only
event that is mandatory. Ideally, everyone will attend every
dual meet, but I know that is not realistic though feel free
to try! But you have seven dual meets to choose from four of
which are home meets. Get your three meets in as I require
everyone to swim at Divisionals.

To qualify for
this meet you must have swum in three Y dual meets. Qualifying

Presidential Invitational Sunday,
February 17, 2008 at Youngstown State
University. This is our teams main fundraiser. All parents
are required to
help with this meet in some capacity and donate to the
concession stand. Really, all Neptune
swimmers should
participate (your parents will be there anyway). It is
considered one of the top YMCA invitationals in northeast Ohio,
and it is right in your own backyard! Besides we give awesome
awards! See you there!
