Giving

The YMCA is a non-profit organization committed to making its facilities and programs available to anyone regardless of their ability to pay. We depend on the generosity of our members and people in our community to make that happen. Your gift is always tax deductible. Earmark your contribution to the branch of your choice, whether it's our Central Branch downtown, Camp Fitch YMCA on Lake Erie or our newest branch in Boardman, the D.D. and Velma Davis Family YMCA.

Planned Giving - Heritage Club

Heritage Club members have included the Y in his/her estate plan or has made a contribution to the fund which will help build long range financial stability for the Association and enable it to accomplish its mission. When you invest in an endowment fund for an organization like the Y, the interest earned on your investment is used by the Y, while the principle amount remains intact. The YMCA Endowment Fund is supervised by the YMCA's Endowment Committee and the Board of Trustees and its investments are managed successfully by local bank trust departments.

Memorials

Donations in memory of or in honor of a loved one can be acknowledged with a permanent engraved brick or stone on the entrance to the Davis Family YMCA. Larger donations can be included on our permanent wall of honor in the main lobby of the facility. Contact Administrative Assistant Patty Tchoryk in the Metro Office for details.

Strong Kids Campaign Events

Annual Support

The YMCA's Strong Kids Campaign takes on a variety of looks as this annual fundraising campaign seeks to raise the much needed funds to assist those in need. From a small army of volunteers, who diligently tell their YMCA story to friends, family, co-workers and to a number of special events, the campaign raises tens of thousands of dollars each year to help the Y impact our community. Take some time to give back and volunteer to help on the campaign or participate in one or all of these campaign events.

Strong Kids Party

This is the Kick-off to the Strong Kids Campaign. It is an evening of food, music, raffles and a fun way to support our Campaign!

Come out Saturday, January 28th to the Georgetown at 7:00 pm.

Spin-a-Thon

Our biggest fundraiser of the year! This dedicated group of spinning enthusiasts raises $50 for each hour of cycling they want to do. Many ride for the full 7 hours! If you're looking for a challenge, and you don't mind your butt hurting for three days afterward, take part in the Spin-a-Thon and help us to reach our annual campaign goal!

This year's date is Saturday, February, 11. Contact Maureen Horvath at 330-744-8411 for more information.

Wreath Auction

Dozens of custom wreaths adorn the walls of the Davis Family YMCA from late October through the end of November. Members can bid on their favorite with proceeds supporting the annual Strong Kids Campaign.

Memorial 5

One of the more popular races in the area, the Memorial 5 road race makes a loop around beautiful Lake Glacier in Mill Creek Park before returning to the hustle and bustle of the Y on a busy Memorial Day weekend. Proceeds benefit the annual Strong Kids Campaign.

This year's race will be held on Saturday, May 28th. Click here to learn more
